The Marriage
of James Sloan and Sarah McCann in St Patrick’s Church, Belfast in 1846 is as
far as I have got in tracing the Sloan Family Tree. Unfortunately their parent’s
names are not recorded on the Marriage Register. However I should be able to
get their parent’s names if I can find the Baptism entries for James Sloan and
Sarah McCann. There is a possibility they may have been baptised in St Patricks
so I am currently looking through the Registry prior to 1830.
As you have
seen I haven’t got too far in tracing the family tree of our Grand mother Bella
Conlon. Did her parents marry in Belfast or elsewhere? Her mother Eliza
Donnelly gives Co. Armagh as place of birth.
Have you any idea of Town or Townland?
